Windswept heron

had a late afternoon trip To Boxers lake hoping to catch some herons flying in the lovely light. There were a few landing as well as a couple of egrets returning to their nest but I prefered this shot of a heron in the trees. They're usually quite obscured by branches but this one was sitting in just the right spot.
