Trip to Folly Farm today. It was meant to rain in the morning and stop by lunchtime but typically it rained pretty much all day (until we got home). Nevertheless we had fun. For our lunchtime picnic we had to improvise and drag a picnic bench underneath the shelter of the barn roof. Isaac was cosy in the moby wrap and the girls had wellies and rain coats (except Amelie who is in need of new wellies). Highlight of the day was seeing the giraffes...they have four and two of them were really close to the viewing platform. We also saw the penguins being fed and the girls were all fascinated by the porcupines. The worst part of the day for all girls was a giant Mike the Knight. It still makes me laugh thinking of their terrified reactions when he jumped out of his little house! Amelie was pretty wary but not terrified. But they were all in agreement that none of them liked Mike!
