3769. First Digital Painting Exercise…..

……completed for my Procreate Master Class!

It took me hours to do as I had to keep re-watching the video instructions over and over again.  I now have the video running on my iPad mini whilst doing the actual artwork on the app on my big iPad.  I did try the split screen thing on my large iPad but I just couldn’t see the canvas well enough alongside the video.  Having it in my iPad mini is ideal as Incan stop and start it when I need to.

I’m really pleased with it because it does look like the original I had to use for reference.  I’m particularly pleased with the whale as the instructions showed me a really easy way of “block” drawing the outline and adding the details.  I’ve never drawn a whale before!

So this is number 2 of my planned 100 digital art works which I started yesterday…..it’s making me review the classes every day and there’s a new exercise every few days.  I might try and do something along these lines tomorrow but perhaps with a slightly different theme?  I can’t wait to start the still life exercises as some of the examples are amazing….I probably won’t end up with the same results but getting close would be awesome!
