Above Sychnant

Apologies for the even later than usual posting, but time just seems to be running away with me at the moment and blip is suffering I’m afraid. 

It’s been an ‘interesting’ day, with G managing to break a tooth while eating breakfast. The culprit was a nut in my homemade muesli - but my initial guilt is assuaged by the realisation that this has happened now rather than in just over a week’s time when we’ll be in Madeira (I realise it must sound as if we’re always on holiday, but this one’s been rearranged from October when my recent spinal surgery prevented us from going!) 

Anyway, he’s lucky to get an emergency appointment within an hour, and after X-rays and examination, the verdict is there’s nothing to be done to save the tooth. The damage is such that an extraction is necessary, with a likely implant following when we get back. Meanwhile, I have a facial in a nearby spa - a present from the boys for my last birthday nearly a year ago! I must admit, it’s a lovely treat, and so much nicer than what poor G’s going through! 

Of course, any suggestion that he takes things easy is disregarded, and we take a walk above Sychnant where the views are wonderful - my blip today. And not content with this, he decides to continue rebuilding a stone wall in our garden when we come home!
