H is still in a lot of pain but putting on a brave face.
Had a ridiculous conversation with the virtual fracture clinic

Nurse: he can’t do sport for 6 weeks
Me: does that include running?
Nurse: no sport for 6 weeks
Me: OK, but is he ok to walk parkrun once the pain has reduced?
Nurse: oh he can run, just no sports.

We’ve decided to assume parkrun isn’t a sport and hoping to do some tourism to make up for missing hockey and cricket.
