Archie’s Big Day Out
What a super day, wall to wall sunshine, and I didn't need to wear my hat! (One of the first signs of spring).
Amanda and John were taking Archie out this morning, and we had a rendezvous on the Links. I saw them ages before they saw me (it's my new eyes - I can see for miles). I told Archie to go to them, and he ran off, excitedly, but in the wrong direction. They eventually spotted him, and waved their arms about to show him where he should be running. They took him off for a walk, saying that they'd probably be a couple of hours.
I sat in the sun and waited for JR to arrive, and then I demonstrated to her how I could squat right down to take photos of daffodils, and get up again no bother. I think she was impressed. I certainly was. I put this down to my squat exercises while hanging on to the kitchen sink over the past few weeks. Then we had a dander into Bruntsfield and on to Morningside.
I chose to walk back instead of jumping on a bus, it was such a nice day. But it fair puggled me. (5,143 steps)
When the others came back later, they'd had such a nice time, with Archie being a good boy in the cafe, and meeting different people. He even got a big hug from a child!
I've been enjoying the new tv set up. Or, to be more precise, the new remote control, with a speech function. You can say, 'Robert Redford' or 'Tilda Swindon' and you get all sorts of clips and interviews etc from YouTube. Or 'Joanna Lumley' and all her travel programmes pop up, as well as all the Ab Fab ones. Brilliant!
Here's Archie at the duck pond, smiling for the camera.
Doughnut? What doughnut…...(Extra)
