Extra allotment time.
What a glorious day!! I escaped my final meeting and managed a whole 2 hours on the plot.
Job 1: I finished the removal of the old lavender and cleared yet more bindweed root. This bed is now clear from the elephant garlic bed to the autumn planted garlic and ready for planting. The soil is drying out fast, but still easy to work. Just need to add some more mulch.
Job 2: Collecting a barrow-load of pots with probably dead plants, sit down and sort them. Most were dead, but I found a day lily and 2 sedums still alive, so they had a good drink and were added to the other survivors in the cold frame. The other plants in there also had a drink - no rain for a while now and it has been rather sunny.
Job 3: Catch up with another friend and discuss her shed plans. No, that wasn't on the official list, but I added it. :-)
The primroses are looking lovely outside the shed and appear to be reproducing rather well in that area.
