Pipes & Shadows

Tuesday. Just a short shift at work this morning, which went quickly and smoothly. It’s a really beautiful spring day… a little bit chilly, but with glorious sunshine and blue skies. The longer hours of daylight are a nice treat after the dark winter months. I came straight home after work, as I had several things to get done—but I did notice this odd little composition in the garden. The green hosepipe glowed in the afternoon sun, and seemed to contrast well against the muted greys and browns of the background. I used the telephoto lens on my phone to blur the background slightly, as much as it could, and then I was able to refine this in software later.
