Writing on the Wall
Best viewed *larger*
I saw the blips creep up on me, the 3 years & tried to work out the day it would fall on, I think I was a day out! I had planned to find an elusive *not so* common blue butterfly as that was my first ever blip, although I did see the female common blue today - ragged - butI didn't see him.
This is a wall butterfly, this one is imperfect, it's wings were torn, but it posed so beautifully on the verbena that it had to be the one. Plus it's me saying, my blips have always been imperfect, I'm not an editor, nor do I have a big expensive camera & the weather is the bane of my life, I've missed many a photo opportunity from the wind or the rain or the dull light. But to me this butterfly is perfect, it's not entirely in focus, the flowers are blurry, but it just summed up my blip life.
Firstly a massive thank you to Blip Central & then a massive thank you to all of you, the blip community, it's been a long three years, with a lot of heart break in-between, I never thought I'd lose my beautiful mummy to cancer, not in a million years. She always asked me every day if I had got my blips, she always had a keen interest in my photography & most of all Little Larry Robin - who sadly I have lost too. So it's been a very hard three years, but an extremely rewarding three years too - I've, like so many, gained blip friendships, met some of you, always strived to try & blip something new each time & just had a thoroughly good time about it too!
