Rooftop bandstand
It's been an beautiful sunny day despite the chilly breeze. Some washing got a good airing outside today.
This grade ll listed buildingKwith the roof top bandstand is currently empty. It used to be a department store called Laurie and McConnal until the early 1980s. In the mid 1980s it housed a Habitat, then an HMV music store and until about a year ago a Wilko. Now it's sadly unoccupied.
Took my old pressure cooker and some of Mr's pretty new and unworn clothes to the Arthur Rank Hospice charity shop. Headed on to Arjuna, the wholefood shop then home.
Took hound for a pleasant walk under blue skies after lunch. Made an apple puree cake in the afternoon.
Tomorrow the buyers of our house have arranged for a structural surveyor to visit at 9.30. Apparently the survey can take 3-8 hours. I really don't like being confined to the house.
Pleasant evening everyone.
