Mystery daffs

I finished of setting up the Mac Mini for the IT club today and we did a few DIY tasks. We took the fluffy one to the beach for his walk and we timed it well as the beach was pretty empty and there was a big tide so lots of space for him to run and sniff. He had a very good time.

On our return leg we saw these daffodils that have clearly been placed in this crevice in the rocks. They won't survive the tide coming in. We did wonder what they mark - something sad or something happy? I've no idea but I think it's best to imagine that they mark a happy event - perhaps where two younger lovers first met - and they have returned to mark the event many decades later...?
