Big Butterfly Count 2013

I'm enjoying this Big Butterfly Count.

A good friend suggested we go out for lunch and a walk in the Wolseley Bridge Nature Reserve. It's the headquarters of the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and it's a wonderful place just to relax, observe, explore and enjoy. There were lots and lots of kids there - bags full of stuff for the ducks, pencils and papers and getting involved in lots of healthy summer holiday stuff for free.....

(it reminded me of my childhood...... exploring around the countryside without any fear of dangers.... off from the morning and home for tea....)

There were lots of butterflies too. Loadsa whites and peacocks like yesterday (but it is only a few miles to the East of Shugborough) plus one that I think was a Dingy Skipper and this one, that looks most like the Silver Washed Fritillary in my book. Any suggestions ?
