Today we visited two temples, Onzan-ji (temple 18) and Tatsue-hi (temple 19), and then walked most of the way to Jigen-ji (bekakku 3), which we will visit tomorrow. The way was slowly uphill through a valley, and we walked though beautiful bamboo forests and views of the hills.

The way is often signposted with arrows, directions, and sometimes motivational and encouraging messages.

Today we walked 20 miles.
