Ekeko: One of my favorites

Ekeko is the Andean god of abundance and the celebration called Alasitas celebrates this ancient belief and Ekeko himself.

I found this Ekeko in a small shop in Bolivia and brought him home to grace our house ... and one for my daughter's home ... and one for my son's home ... you get the idea!

Each year you give Ekeko miniatures of what you desire, need, etc. Then he is happy and grants you abundance and good luck throughout the year.

It is a wonderful, cultural reminder of Bolivia .... one of the most wonderful countries I have visited.
