Running and football

Becky and Mike left early and headed for the Croft Motor Circuit, Darlington.  Becky ran the 20 mile race and she was the 5th lady home (3rd in her age group). Mike ran the 10k (6.2 miles) and he was 27th (1st in his age group). I've blipped their lovely medals.......... plus my Carabao Cup  badge 

While they were gone Astrid and I played with a train track, a road track with lots of cars, we read books, watched TV and played hide and seek.

Later on we all had lunch and then watched the Carabao Cup Final........ Newcastle V Liverpool. It was a good game.  Newcastle played well and deserved to win.  Final score Liverpool 1 Newcastle 2.  A domestic Cup for The Toon after 70 years of waiting and hoping.

Mike made a chicken and ham pie for our evening meal and he put NUFC on the top in pastry letters....... see Extra.

The other Extra is a photo of Tino which the Cat Ladies put on their Facebook page.  They have been looking after Tino and Lily with twice a day visits while I'm away.  It's Tino's 14th birthday today. 

I don't catch a train till around 5. 30pm tomorrow so I can spend the day with Becky and Astrid.
