Harbour Sunrise
Sunday morning. A mixed bag of weather for the most part, spurts of sunlight amidst copious clouds—but it was clear and bright first thing. I drove down to the seafront in Dover to catch the sunrise, to be rewarded with wonderful dawn colours over the harbour. There was even an obliging channel ferry in precisely the right spot on the horizon. Sadly, it’s the last day of my annual leave. Back to the coalface tomorrow, where I will face the delights of checking my inbox and discovering how many of my colleagues cannot understand the term ‘out of office’.
