Ha ha ha hurrah
Whilst Rufus sorted through his toy box reorganizing his collection of old slippers, Harry decided to try out the dog crate. Deciding he liked it he then proceeded to feign sleep, (extra) as cats are want to do. Poor Rufus, he loves his crate and was quite discombobulated, so he and I went to the park - and quickly discovered that although the sunshine had been super warm indoors, the outside temperature was surprisingly cold. Hat and scarf cold. With sunglasses.
Caitlin, friend and ex colleague who moved from Istanbul back to the States last year called me early afternoon and as we haven't chatted for months we made up for it with nearly three hours of video catch up. During our chat the rugby (France Ireland) started so I turned on the TV to half watch it on mute. Once I'd said 'bye to Caitlin I had to do a quick Asda run, so that the Wales / England game was 35 min underway by the time I was back home and could watch - transfixed as England annihilated the opposition - simultaneously exciting and excruciatingly painful to watch.
To round off the day, I had a fun evening with bro at the Gardeners pub for an evening advertised as "A Last Hurrah" - for Lee, much liked and excellent mine host is leaving at the end of the month, to become landlord of another (still local) pub and tonight was his leaving bash. With the final Six Nations game playing soundlessly on screen (France/Scotland), there was also a local band playing 60's and 70's hits very not soundlessly to a pub full of folk having a great time and wishing Lee all the best in his new adventure. William (nephew) was our chauffeur - it still amuses me when the children are the taxi service and decide the curfew for the oldies (10.30 tonight) hahaha
Coda: Walking the woofer round the block at 23.00, it is super cold - how can this be in the middle of March?
