WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Witches’ Broom

Drawing trees really helps me relax when I’m worried or stressed.
I can just sit and get lost in drawing the branches.
Witches’ broom is often mistaken for old bird’s nests but it is actually a deformity in the branches of trees - an overgrowth of twigs.
They look like pom-poms.
I’ve been staying with my eldest daughter since Thursday but I’ll be going home tomorrow. We went to The Forte retail park this afternoon as we both had vouchers for Waterstones. I got two novels with mine. Then we went to visit Sabrina, Johnnie and the girls.  They live quite close to each other.

Lucy age 9, was in the nearby play park when we arrived and she didn’t come home for quite a while.
When she did burst in through the front door, she excitedly told us she had a boyfriend!
‘Oh Grandma, I just met a lovely boy, my kind of man!  He is really funny and handsome and he has eczema just like me!’
Apparently his mum and he were visiting a friend on their estate so Lucy hopes he’ll be back in a week or too. He is 10 ;-D))
Also Amelia, nearly 13 has just finished with a boy - I didn’t even know she had a boyfriend! She sent him a text saying it wasn’t working for her but can we still be friends? OK came the reply. Puppy love eh?

Frank has managed OK while I was away, his arm is in a sling but he made himself a curry and has been doing a jigsaw. He still has some pain around the new shoulder area but he’s keeping it under control with paracetamol and ibuprofen.
Time for bed now - er sofa - comfy enough.
Goodnight Blippers and thank you so much for the comments, stars and  hearts for my recent Blips. I haven’t had time for personal thanks but they are so appreciated. :-) X
