kIDNEy STONe
My wife reckons this looks like a kidney spliced in two ! In actual fact its a gem stone one of the kids left on a black table in the garden. The sun was just right for a sweet macro, then messed around on ps Elements 5 with it , skew correct gamma distortion vingette or what ever its called.
Submitted it as one of ten shots for an assignment on my OU course (week three) .Would recomend any budding young amateurs like myself to get slotted in for next years. This is the first d/photography course the open uni has had to offer .So we are basically the guinea pigs.As its only a 10 weeks course its not to much of a strain on my hectic life ,with two young boys ,a pregnant wife and a great dane, a passion for downhill mountainbikes and a curse with motorbikes. The majority of the time which is spent looking through one eye or stuck in front of a 7 gazzillion bright as hell 19" glowing screen ...or another 4 hour stint on my wife..............but yeh now im just slavering.....but life is sweet....
Had a few tech problems at the start but is up and running smooth.Into week three and buzzing.Ive recently discoverd the joys of night photography with tripod and very slow shutter speeds with high ISO and low apertures. However im finding the creative blur shots a task as theres not much life in this sleepy little village , but thats how i like it zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Im disapointed in myself for allowing my entries for blipfoto to slip .
After all it was blipfoto that inspired me to take my photography more seriously
And buy a new camera oh course !............................................
