And one for you too....!
A very happy day of friendship, mutual photography enthusiasm, culture...and a little bit of shopping for some.
I met with Daisychain1 (on the right here) in Westerham...good enough in itself. Then at one time in this shop -(just looking)- there were four photographers - one a professional black and white film photographer - and one artist, seen here with Daisyychain1. Great conversation and an immediate bonding! Our cameras gave us away when we went into the shop and we soon discovered our mutual enthusiasm.
We also visited Quebec House the childhood home of General Wolfe, who died leading an army to capture Quebec for the British in 1795. We were very near Chartwell, the home of Sir Winston Churchill, and enjoyed some excellent quotes painted on the walls of The Grasshopper Inn on The Green.
We took in the impressive views from the churchyard of St Mary's parish church and looked for the grave tablet of Noel Streatfield, author of 'Ballet Shoes', and of Peter Nissan of Nissan huts fame.
We didn't finish the walk so have an excellent excuse to return soon and see more of this beautiful Surrey town.
