Fifteen of us met for a Blipmeet at Bletchley Park today, to celebrate Hildasrose’s big birthday coming up next week.
BP was the centre of the code breaking effort in WW2. 
Highly secret and painstaking work was carried out here which helped to provide intelligence about German shipping and the DDay landings among other events. 
It was where Alan Turing, Dilly Knox, Tommy Flowers, Gordon Welchman and hundreds of others worked round the clock with their phenomenal collective brain power , to crack the codes used by the enemy and shorten the war, and further human knowledge of electronics and computing.
The operation was led at the outbreak of war  by Commander Alastair Dennison ,  whose office is in the photo.

The two of us, Hildasrose and Rob, Anniemay and Igor, BlackTulip and JJ, Mr and Mrs Chrispybox, Mr and Mr Fitzbilly, Chantler63, and Mr and Mrs StevenG.
Much nattering eating and drinking took place. Happy birthday for next week Rose, and thanks for herding, I mean organising us.
