Extenuating circumstances? None.
In the course of my work day I am perfectly accustomed to making essential adjustments to enable my students to learn in whatever way works.
I am also much, much more aware of the mobility needs of my students... and it's made me very grumpy about unnecessary and inconsiderate pavement obstruction.
The dear soul who got out of this vehicle to move the wing mirror as I approached made a rookie error in thinking I'd thank him for doing so. Indeed, I was told I was rude for not doing so. I had intended just walking by - it was before 7.00 a.m.!!.. Rather I asked, in a way miscreants in my workplace knowcall too well, why on earth he had blocked the pavement by double yellow lines when it was perfectly possible to park legally and more easily.
Yes, I did carry on walking as I did it... I had had my say and he was clearly of the type who think he can do as he likes with no thought of others.
My day did improve!
