Covent Garden

Up to London yesterday for lunch with G. Rain, sun, sleet, repeat. Such funny weather. We sat for a long time over lunch (steak and chips) then coffee in a quirky coffe shop, so we managed to cover most of our favourite topics - family, friends, former husbands, health, where to buy foundation that works and doesn't cost a fortune, how to find trainers that suit our feet, whatever happened to the whole of last year, and come to that the whole of the preceding decade, how it has come to pass that G will be 70 at the end of this year.
London generally & Covent Garden especially, very empty, which was a delight.
Home to watch splendid tennis match on TV & crawl to bed exhausted.
