I made the most of the day.

Straight down the pool for a big swim after the overnighter at work, it felt pretty good. Any employment cobwebs well and truly blown away.

Out to the flicks in the afternoon for a fascinating documentary on a photographer I was previously unaware of, Ernest Cole: Lost And Found and then a pint in the bar with my book whilst I waited for my partner to come and join me off the train from Stirling.

Food out at a nearby Italian before a spot of theatre in the evening at The Trav, Jonny & The Baptists, a splendid mix of political storytelling, autobiographical content and musical interludes.

Tomorrow should be a little quieter, but there is the small matter of an overnight trip to Glasgow...
