Anna's hummingbird
Recently, I had a rufous hummingbird at my feeder as it passed through on it's migration to points north from Mexico for the summer. Now, I have an Anna's hummingbird doing the same thing. I got lucky because I was able to get a male with the light just right to capture the beautiful red on its throat. They aren't uncommon in the western U.S. but don't stay very long in southern Arizona.
I spent most of the day at home, partly due to chilly, windy weather. The most significant task I accomplished was to continue to negotiate with two trash companies for services to provide for our community. I'm finding myself to be a pretty good negotiator. I'm almost ready to present it to the 212 homeowners and the Assoc Board of Directors.

Once there were three turtles. One day they decided to go on a picnic…
When they got there, they realized they had forgotten the water. The youngest turtle said he would go home and get it if they wouldn’t eat the sandwiches until he got back.
A week went by, then a month, finally a year, when the two turtles said, “Oh, come on, let’s eat the sandwiches.”
Suddenly the little turtle popped up from behind a rock and said, “If you do, I won’t go!”
