Replacement

The previous fancy fill valve started failing to shut, on one occasion it had been overflowing for several hours…..
It was only about four or five years old because I replaced it when fitting a new flush valve.
This new one was quite easy to fit, but leaked so I had to take it out and resort to Plumbers Mait. The sealing washer was way too hard.
Seem to recall the original brass valve with a plastic float was over 30 years old when I replaced it and it was only replaced because it fouled the new flush valve……
