A PolarBear and a BlueTit

It must have been something Nancy said to cause me this amount of smiling! My Polar Bear friend  from Kirkwall was down In Edinburgh with her car and offered me a lift to the beach this morning to meet and jump the waves at 8am with five BlueTits. And there were indeed waves to jump but fortunately they were less forceful than on Tuesday and we managed to get behind them before they crashed on shore. I get my fun in simple things.


What a difference a car with a heater makes to the experience.- I was back home by 9am  feeling very warm indeed even after queuing through the road works in Portobello but driving through Holyrood Park as a short cut. It was good to have the time to chat with Nancy before she returns to Orkney in a few days.


I would love to say it’s getting a tad warmer these days but it’s not so, that north wind doth certainly blow. The earlier brightness has gone and it’s looking cold and grey beyond the glass
