One day - or day one

Long flight, very tired - travelling, travelling. Feel my head lolled off my shoulders so many times it may become a slinky!

But we are here - Naruto City, Henro House Number One. Fuelled by onigiri.

We visited Ryozenji, Temple 1 of the Shikoku Henro in the dark this evening - we were the only ones there and it felt special. Probably will be quite busy when we return for our stamps and pilgrim gear tomorrow morning at 8am!

We also visited Oasahiko Jinga - it is believed that visiting will ward off misfortune associated with direction and that one will be protected on the road. It was dark, a long line of stone lamps lined the way. There was a huge old tree and we listened to the leaves in the wind, looked at the moon.
