Penguin Droppings

Groovy

. . . or Not?

This mossy boulder was actually fairy smooth.
The sun was casting the shadows of slender trees across its surface, but in my viewfinder, they gave the illusion that the surface was corrugated.

I found this beside a footpath that meandered through a strip of urban woodland beside a burn in Penicuik.

I had to drive across there to deliver our Photo-Soc's print entry to a judge who will come to Kirkcady and deliver his verdict in three weeks time.  This is the last of five rounds for this season.  I have no chance of winning one of the league trophies as I am 5 points behind the current leader in both prints and digital.

I went in plenty of time with the intention of looking for photos first.  This was probably the most interesting of the bunch.
