Tired Of Waiting

A very long - and frustrating - dress rehearsal for “The Waiting Room” tonight. A lot of sightline issues only came to light for the first time as we finally ran the play with all cast, props, scenery and lighting.
Some hurried moving of tables, chairs and benches alleviated - though didn’t fully solve - most of the problems. We will just have to accept that there may be times when some people will be masked for a short while. And there may be more standing up than before, especially if delivering lines from upstage!
Still, theatre tradition says that a poor dress rehearsal usually means a good first night. Let us hope that holds true…
