Turner-inspired Sunset

Today’s art class was inspired by the work of J M W Turner.  He worked in oils and had to wait for each layer of paint to dry, as well as coming potentially into contact with some nasty materials in his pigment. Today, we have the advantage of safe modern acrylics which dry fast, especially when attacked with a hairdryer!

This still has a bit of work required and doesn’t really match Turner’s style. As always though, the class was interesting, educational and we had fun.
