St Margaret's Loch

Holyrood Park sits at the bottom of Edinburgh's Royal Mile.  Belonging to the Crown, it still feels genuinely a wee bit wild and has two small lochs within its boundaries.

This is St Margaret's Loch, a stone throw from the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood House (where the King stays when he's in the neighbourhood).  It's a tranquil lovely place frequented by all manner of birds inc. these mute swans.  You can also see the ruins of St Anthony's Chapel in the background.

Snapped on my way back after accompanying son no.2 on his way to work this morning.
