There are masses
I'm really enjoying my morning walkabouts on the heath, the distractions are very welcome.
An early phonecall from J. Not happy that he was moved from his room onto a ward last night. Made a bit of fuss apparently... :-( & I thought it was just me.
I did an early Tesco shop, followed by a liquid top up (Magners) at Asda. I bought Mother's day cards for myself & Indie. It pays to shop around. My breakfast cereal was on the Asda
"Rollback" deal saving 87p per box.
Arrived at Mum's just before 9am, packed her shop away as I gave her breakfast, then got the carpet cleaner down from the loft, Mel, Mum's cleaner, said she would shampoo the lounge carpet today. I left her cleaning & walked Indie. Saw the twitcher again this morning, nothing of interest, he commented on it being too cold for the birds to be out & about. My windscreen was icy this morning. I told him I spotted a Yellowhammer yesterday, he mentioned their call. I Googled it's call when I got back yesterday, so am now familiar. My Blip is just one of the many puddles writhing with tadpoles, many stages of development.. Love it!
Mel very pleased with the Bissell carpet cleaner. Great result! She's happy to do each room, one per week. I rang & cancelled J's ultrasound scan tomorrow. The next available apt is on the day he has an apt with the consultant to discuss the ultrasound findings. Argh!!
Made Mum's lunch a bit earlier today as I needed to go home & pack my shop away before driving up to the hospital. Easy parking thankfully. I spent a couple of hours with J on a respiratory ward. 2-4pm (Phew! He's just rung me (8pm) confused & panicking because he can't find his phone charger & he's being moved).
Get home, pack away the rest of my shop, then surprise surprise it's cider o'clock.
Currently watching Grand Designs. Looking forward to watching Birdsong on Beeb 4 at 9pm.
