Past and present

What a wonderful afternoon!  I've been looking forward to this since we arranged it a few weeks ago.... I drove to Battlesbridge to meet Lyn at the Barge Inn for lunch and catch up. This was a super challenge as we realized that although we've kind of kept up with main life events via FB, it must be at least thirty years since we met. As you can imagine, over the next three+hours we talked about everything well, everything except potholes. That's ok, we can take care of that topic the next time we meet which we agreed should be before I go back to Turkey in April.

The Barge Inn is on the River Crouch and I took today's photo before I drove home. I really liked the effect of the light in the late afternoon sunshine on this cold day.
