Roots.

How long has this tree been like this?  Certainly from 1977 when I first saw it on a walk around Derwentwater shore.  The water level does change, but today it is way from the water.  Blencathra/Saddleback is in the distance and another view of the Fell you have seen before. 
The extra shows a tree 'growing out of rock-it isn't it is in a crack between two rocks and of course, Blencathra in the background.  Not cold, but cloudy.  The sun came out at lunchtime so all in all a good morning with Blipper and camera club friend, Nick_T.
