Thank you, William Wordsworth. Although snowdrops have been gracing ‘The Policies’ in record numbers, it is now time for the daffodils to make their appearance.

Pat likes to have cut flowers in our home and today’s photo shows the first cut daffodils.

We are fortunate to have a wide variety of daffodils to choose from in our garden. The vast majority of these must have been planted by The Beadle or members of the congregation when our home was Forgan Parish Church.

Also surprising is the number of daffodils that grow along the road verges. Could it be that generations of ‘Council Roadmen’ planted these roadside specimens?
