The best bit
Wednesday morning. 7am and it's almost over. I wasn't feeling enthused when I left the house; lovely red sky but slightly dark and slightly wet. However, as is often the case, the skies got clearer and although there were a few spots of rain as we changed, the water was flat calm and bliss soon descended.
Eight of us in total today and I swam out to Cameron House with Jenny enjoying concentrating on my newly perfected bilateral breathing. We swapped groups on the way back so Ian and I headed together to the yellow. I tried for a little while to keep up with one of the other girls, but had to bale out before bilateral breathing turned into bilateral gasping and water inhalation. Anyway, there was quite a bit of lazing about at the yellow. So rest assured; this is relaxation, not drowning. Ian is two weeks away from his half ironman; maybe this is what they mean by tapering.
I had two goes at this pose; one with and one without wetsuit. I could have stayed in all day.
