I'd been thinking for some time that I want a camera that's more practical to carry on a regular basis, and bring along on less-exotic trips, while being miles better than my basic Canon IXUS 105 point-and-shoot. After some research, I was confident enough to order an Olympus XZ-2. It's got just about as much manual control as my DSLR, albeit one lens and a smaller sensor.

Should be a good compromise, right?
