Full MOT
I was back at the GPs today to have some bloods taken. I'm very lucky to have good veins, you can almost see the phlebotomist's eyes light up with glee when she sees them. I think the practice has realised that because I'm not on their radar I've not have any of the regular check ups my age requires - not sure that I don't prefer my "head below the parapet approach" so they don't notice me.
My next stop was on the other side of town at my dentist. My previous dentist left a couple of weeks ago so this was my first meeting with a new one. She seems very nice and after a good check up and a scale and polish I left, giving thanks for the NHS and paying just £16.47. My next appointment is booked in for next March.
On my way back I was driving down Broughton Street when I remembered that blippers Hazelh had been holding onto a little picture for me since last year.

I phoned and on hearing I was in the area was invited for tea and a scone (there was bonus Christmas Cake too).
We chatted so much that I had to extend my parking! Parents, getting old, sisters - we are both the oldest of three! - families, charity shops and bargains, which we all like. We haven't met up for a while so lots to catch up on.
The picture, of Wynken, Blynken and Nod is destined for the room the girls use. It's from a story book my mother had from her own childhood and which she used to read to me when I was little. There is a link at the end of the blip to the wiki page which has the words on it.
From Chez Hazelh, I headed to my charity shop. I was only doing an hour today, but while there found an oval troubadour plate to match our Denby dinner set so I was very pleased with that.
