No Owls
Four miles walked today, sunny but blooming cold wind.
I went out again this evening to see if I could see and photograph the Barn Owls that have been active near the old barns in the valley. There is also a large tree with a huge hollow which I think is where they are nesting.
But no luck tonight.
However, I did see a lot of crows, two of which flashed through my picture as I captured the light and this tree silhouette.
Earlier Mrs I and I went to a neighbour's to collect some rocks. He has tons of rocks that are going in a skip and we were given permission to help ourselves.
We are still working on the garden project and these will come in very handy.
Also, the moon tonight was gorgeous (Waxing Gibbous - 93% illumination) so I have added an extra just to prove it.
I am desperately saddened by the terrible shipping accident in the Humber Estuary. A life lost and devastating for the environment. I am so upset at the pollution and threat to wildlife. I remember the Torrey Canyon and this may be on a par with that, possibly worse.
Humanity have an awful lot to answer for.
