Marble Hill

Today we travelled up to London to visit some of Andy’s family. After a cup of tea and sandwich we popped out for a walk along the Thames where we enjoyed a wander in the grounds of Marble Hill House. The house dates from the Georgian period and is the last complete survivor of the elegant villas and gardens which bordered the Thames between Richmond and Hampton Court in the 18th century. This is the coach house which now contains a tea room. Today it was a bit nippy to be sitting outside so returned home for an hot drink and tea cake.
