Quinta da Rocha
We went on a walk from Mexilhoeria Grande railway station around an area known as Quinta da Rocha, a small peninsula along the Ria de Alvor. It is an area of lagoons, re-naturalised old salt pans and mudflats as well as agricultural land. We had hoped to see flamingos but we were out of luck. Nevertheless it was a terrific walk and we only had a couple of short sharp showers.
Apologies for the lack of comments while I'm away. Thanks for the hearts and likes for yesterday's cattle egret.
