Green Jay

Still trying to do a catchup of photos from my trip in Feb. to South Texas. 
This was our first full day at the Santa Clara Ranch.  The weather was delightfully warm, such a welcome respite from the cold at home. 

This is a Green Jay, found in abundance in that area, although their range is quite limited to just South Texas and a narrow strip along the gulf coast of Central America and a separate, narrow swathe in South America.
