Rhigos Mountain View
Today I took a drive further up the Rhondda Valley from where we live to first find the house where my Great Grandparents lived and then to drive on to take in the views at the top of the Rhigos and Bwlch Mountains.
I found the house very easily, it certainly stands out on the street as you can see! It is no.3 Club Row in Ystrad Rhondda and as you can see, it is a typical 2 up 2 down terraced house that are prevalent in this part of the world. To think that my Great Grandparents lived in this house with their 7 children is unbelievable! I'm so glad I've finally made the short journey up and found the house as have been meaning to do for a number of years, since compiling my family tree.
I then decided to take a further drive up the valley to take in the views at the top of the Rhigos and Bwlch mountains, and as usual they were spectacular, particularly with the amazing cloud formations. Take a look here if you'd like!
