A cool rainy day of three walks, the last to Erskineville Oval after loitering outside the florist’s. The council has asked residents to have their say on a proposal to name the oval grandstand in honour of a local boxing trainer, a proposal that goes against their own naming protocols. It will be interesting to see if Friends of Erskineville puts in a submission. I’m going it alone this time.

I noticed that the council signs on parks now include the words bujari gamarruwa, good day or, I suppose, G’day, in Gadigal language.
