Ilkley Moor

Backblip
The purpose of my visit was to attend an Astrophotography workshop in Burley in Wharfedale, which started at 2pm today. We spent a couple of hours learning about Lightroom and then went up on to Almscliffe Crag just before sunset, as that was going to be the best place to see the planets aligment. It seemed to take ages for the last light of the sunset to go but gradually the stars started to appear. We reckon we saw 5 of the planets but it was impossible to get them all on one shot and they ended up so small as well. Just seeing them was worth it.
We stayed there quite a while. The trip back down in the dark was interesting! We then went to Ilkley Moor for this shot. The Milky Way is just coming out from the top of the tree, diagonally left. The glow from Ilkley makes it difficult to see though.

I've had a few weeks break from blip and now I am catching up. This is my second batch upload.
