Moss But Not The Rolling Stones

I cleaned and repaired with strips of Gorilla tape the bird box that my nephew made for me years ago. I've seen blue tits checking it out and today there's fresh moss visible. I think they're building. I brushed Mish in the garden and hope they'll use her lovely soft fur to line the nest. I bought some expensive flea treatment from the vet in the form of a tablet but haven't used it since I learnt from ceridwen that fur from a treated animal can harm fledglings.

I love that one of the songs that King Charles has chosen for his The King's Music Room selection is The Very Thought Of You by Al Bowlly from 1934. He said, It reminds me of my much-loved grandmother because she used to play these sorts of music a lot. This is another of those weird comforting coincidences that keep happening since MrQ died. This is one more of MrQ's love song favourites. I mentioned in my blip posted on the day he died that his contemporaries thought his singing voice was like that of Al Bowlly. I've got a proper 1930's musical time warp going on in my head.
