Le Tour de Yorkshire

Took a trip down to North Yorkshire to visit one of our sites, it was on an MOD base and it was one of the strictest bases I’ve ever been on! As soon as I got out of the car an armed policeman with a sniffer dog came towards me, I felt guilty already and started talking gibberish. Lol! Even when on site then and in our workspace you still had armed security guards watching our every move. Yowser!

I was close to the Yorkshire stages of next year’s Tour de France, so thought I’d have a drive over the stages. The views were glorious and it should provide some memorable moments. One of the big climbs is Buttertubs Pass and it looked absolutely brutal! Well to me it did but to a Tour de France cyclist he’ll probably fly up there at 30mph.
