Alphabet Challenge - D is for Darts

Hey guys, hope you're all enjoying your days! Today, for the Alphabet Challenge, I have chosen a sport, if that's what you call it, that I've played since I moved into a pub at the age of 9. I had wanted to play darts in our local pub in Blackford before moving to the pub in Croesgoch (where I currently live now), where I began to use the bog-standard pub darts, standing closer than you should on the oche to the board. The locals frequently talk about the days when I needed a stool to reach the darts that were at the top of the board, thankfully those days are behind me since I'm now 5'10"!

I have hit 5 180s (the highest score you can get with 3 darts), the first coming on 31 January 2010. You may ask why I remember the date so well, and it's only because a football match was on TV at the time, and it was the first football match ever to be broadcast in 3D - Arsenal vs. Man United. I was playing against a friend of mine, and I remember throwing the third dart, thinking I'd hit a 140, then looked at the treble 20 to find the third dart had burrowed in alongside the other two darts, to which I very loudly gasped and the majority of the crowd turned around to look at me, whilst I looked astonished at the punters, then the board, then the punters again!
For those of you asking, my highest checkout is 131, the first dart was a complete fluke (I was aiming for treble 20 and hit treble 18), but I recovered to hit treble 19 and then double 10, thankfully I didn't celebrate so enthusiastically!

Thank you, enjoy your day!
