Waterford again

International Women's Day.  And our 1st wedding anniversary! 

After a day of doing stuff around the house and garden, we went in to Waterford.   We had a lovely meal at La Fontana.  I was going to link it, because the food, staff and service were wonderful, but they don't have a website.

We then walked down to Garter Lane for a film called "Housewife of the Year" - an insightful, sometimes heartbreaking, but often funny, documentary about this competition, and some of the women who competed in it, in the 70s, 80s and 90s.  Demonstrates how much this country has changed, and improved, over the last few decades, largely thanks to its women.

This rather whimsical seat was in the street outside the Arts Centre.
